EDITOR’S PICK: The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later. Regina Carter’s Reverse Thread at Kuumbwa. Ugandan, Malian and Senegalese folk songs get a jazz violin twist. Clean House at Actor’s Theater. Directed by Gerry Gerringer, Sara Ruhl’s The Clean House was inspired by a chance remark overheard at a party. “My cleaning lady is depressed and won’t clean my house,” a doctor said. “So I took her to the hospital and had her medicated. And she still won’t clean!” From that singular moment, Ruhl spun a tightly written play about laughter and death, which opens Actor’s Theater’s season. 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, 3 p.m. Sundays.
